1 Aloe littoralis Koko Crater, Koko Crater arch on the N side of the tuff cone. Seen at the base of the arch. Dry, sunny areas from cracks in rocks on cliffs and shallow soil. Preserved_Specimen From base of arch to nearly sea level, at least 400 plants were seen growing on the slopes but the suspected population is much larger as scattered red inflorescences could be seen even in the distance where the leaves could not. Some plants damaged by Aloe mite. Flowers pinkish red, fading from whitish distally to red basally. Bleeds yellow sap when cut, leaves without any spotting. Some inflorescences had many fruits, but none of the flowers which have flowered recently made fruit, suggesting it is not currently being pollinated sufficiently Faccenda, K. 3094 Oahu BISH 2023-04-07
